Warren Schmidt – Principal
Warren graduated from Concordia University in Seward, Nebraska in 1972 with a B.S. in education. This year is his first year of service here at Salem, after serving schools in Florida, Tennessee, and Minnesota. He enjoys reading, gardening, and watching sports. Warren loves to see the progress children make as they work their way through their schooling and on into adulthood.

Kris Busch– Preschool Director
While Kris has no formal degree, she does have 27 years of "on the job" training. She has advanced up the ladder, beginning teaching 3 year olds, then 4 year olds, then Kindergarten, and finally has served as Pre-school Director for the last 13 years. She enjoys sewing, scrapbooking, cooking, cruising, and reading. She is an avid Razorback Baseball fan (GO HOGS!). Her newest hobby is exploring, sampling, and learning about wines. She loves that she gets to be a part of the magic and excitement when children realize they have learned or accomplished something new. Kris also loves the children's infectious laughter and unconditional hugs. She says she has the best job in the world.

Peggy Weidler – Kindergarten
Peggy graduated from Concordia University in Seward, Nebraska in 1978 with a B.A. degree in geography and a B.S. in elementary education. She also earned a Master’s Degree there in 1987. She started her service at Salem in 2000. She enjoys sewing, baking, and reading. She reads mystery, romance, and cook books. She collects bells, nativity sets, and lambs. She cheers for whatever team her friends are cheering for at the time. Peggy sees children as our future, and she is shaping the future. She says the seed she plants now will bloom and be productive in 20 years.

Trisha Grayson – 1st and 2nd Grade
Trisha graduated with a bachelor’s degree from the University of Arkansas in 1995. She received a masters’ degree from UA in 2001. She began teaching at Salem in 1999. Trisha loves to read a good book, with Nicholas Sparks being her favorite author. She also likes to scrapbook in her spare time. Recently, she has also developed a love for baseball. Trisha loves to watch children grow in their love of learning. Listening to a child read a story to her is her favorite.

Sandi Schmidt – 3rd, 4th, 5th Grade
Sandi graduated from Concordia University in Seward, Nebraska in 1973. This year is the first year she is serving at Salem after serving schools in New York, Tennessee, and Minnesota. She likes to read, exercise, sew, and play with grandchildren. She also enjoys being outdoors. Sandi loves telling children about the love of Jesus and His saving grace. She loves to listen to the children’s chatter. She believes that she learns as much from them as they learn from her.
